Courtney Passow was awarded a Fellowship of Graduate Student Travel by the Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology (SICB). These fellowships are awarded to “provide students with funds for travel and other expenses at distant research laboratories, museums, or field sites. The primary purpose is for travel to distant research sites to learn specialized techniques or to use unique equipment or collections”. Courtney will use the funds for an extended stay at Stanford University working with Dr. Joanna Kelley to receive training in next generation sequencing and genomic data analysis.
