Nichole Nieves – an undergraduate researcher in our lab since 2015 – received a Research Scholar Award from the Administrative Core of the Kansas IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (K-INBRE). The award allows her to continue her collaboration with graduate student mentor Nick Barts to investigate the role of reactive oxygen species in H2S toxicity. Nichole will receive a monthly stipend to facilitate her research involvement during the summer and subsequent semesters. The award will also cover a portion of her research expenses.
Well done, Nichole and Nick!
