Along with members of the Kansas Science Communication Initiative, we organized SciComm 2019, a conference dedicated to understanding and promoting effective communication of science to diverse audiences — including students of all levels as well as the general public — across all venues. The conference featured plenary talks by Drs. Danielle Lee and Kevin Folta, talks by conference attendees, a mini film festival, an event called ART(ifacts), a community science festival (see pictures below), and an open mic night at a local pub.
