Zach Culumber spearheaded a monumental effort to investigate phenotypic diversification and speciation in 112 species in livebearing fishes of the family Poeciliidae. The resulting paper “Sex-specific evolution during the diversification of livebearing fishes” was just published in Nature Ecology & Evolution. In addition, Zach provides a glimpse about the process leading up to the publication in a blog post on the Nature Ecology & Evolution Community site.
