Graduate student Courtney Passow has been awarded an honorable mention for the National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship. Considering the over 12,500 applications received by the program, this is a fantastic accomplishment. The program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines who are pursuing research-based masters and doctoral degrees.
Courtney is currently studying the genomic basis of adaptation and speciation in fish inhabiting toxic sulfide springs.
