Nick Barts has been selected to receive a GAANN (Graduate Assistance in Areas of National Need) Fellowship. Nick’s projects primarily focuses on understanding biochemical and physiological mechanisms of adaptation to extreme envrionments. The fellowship will provide Nick with a stipend for three years and additional funds to cover research expenses. As part of the program, he will also receive additional training in instruction and education.
