We recently had the opportunity to visit Hazelwood Central High School, where students presented their plans for building a greenhouse—and they were fantastic. Their proposals were thoughtful, creative, and full of ownership and initiative. It was inspiring to see how invested they are in shaping their own learning environments.
This visit marks the beginning of an exciting collaboration between Hazelwood Central, the Saint Louis Zoo, and our team as we begin developing new educational opportunities together. The energy and ideas these students bring to the table are a promising foundation—and who knows, maybe fish will be part of the greenhouse ecosystem before long!
