Grotto sculpin in the news

An article highlighting the collaborative conservation work of our partners at the Missouri Department of Conservation, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and SEMO Grotto was featured on the front page of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The article focuses on ongoing efforts to conserve the grotto sculpin, a cave-adapted fish endemic to Perry County, Missouri, and draws attention to the importance of interagency partnerships in protecting highly localized and vulnerable species. We’re excited to be part of Team Grotto Sculpin for the third year in 2026!
