Danielle Alba and Reid Morehouse receive awards at SWAN

Danielle Alba has received the Southwestern Association of Naturalist’s Howard McCarley Student Research Award for 2013. The award is granted to support students in higher education researching biota of the southwestern United States, Mexico, and Central America and is given in memory of the late Howard McCarley. Danielle will be using the award towards her research on stoichiometric variation in livebearing fish (Poecilia mexicana) from southern Mexico.

In addition, Reid Morehouse received a Clark Hubbs Student Poster Award for his presentation on the biology of Oklahoma’s crayfish.
